About the university
Modul University Vienna is owned by Univinvest GmbH, a subsidiary of Mathias Corvinus Collegium – MCC (90%) and the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (10%). Both organizations jointly aim to expand the international research and educational profile of Modul University Vienna.

BSc Applied Data Science

BBA in Tourism and Hospitality Management
The perfect undergraduate program for those looking to gain insight into the complex and ever-evolving tourism and hospitality industry.
This 3-year program focuses on introducing you to the basic concepts in running any business; from business administration, accounting, communication and economics in which the business operates. In your second year, expert lecturers and professors will introduce you to a deeper understanding of the industry through several modules focused on the analysis of the tourism and hospitality industry. After that, you have a 900-hour internship. The internship semester is hands-on learning where you will earn academic credit for approved work experience. With this 900-hour internship, you'll gain first-hand knowledge of the hospitality industry.
The Bachelor program gives you the opportunity to choose specific specializations at the end of your program. You will receive a certificate for one of the following specializations:

Bachelor Professional
The program is designed for individuals with several years of relevant work experience in the hospitality and tourism industry who want to deepen their knowledge and advance their career. It is a joint program of the Austrian Hotel Association (ÖHV – Österreichische Hoteliervereinigung) and Modul University Vienna, from which students benefit from the leading expertise of both institutions. Unlike other bachelor's programs, the BPr is a "continuing education" program that requires prior industry experience rather than a high school diploma as an admission requirement.
Students can tailor their curriculum by choosing courses to complement their previous work experience or deepen their knowledge in specific areas.

STUDY ABROAD EXTENSION – NEW YORK CITY
Depending on the start of your semester, you will spend the first semester (spring start) or the first 2 semesters (autumn start) in Vienna, with the training focused first on equipping you with the basic concepts of hospitality management.
Moving to the US from August, New York City College of Technology is located in Brooklyn and will be your home for the next year. Here, you'll benefit from the expertise of New York City College of Technology's Hospitality Management Department, studying courses that will build on the foundation you laid in Vienna, such as Professional Alliances, Workforce Management in a Global Marketplace, and Perspectives in Hospitality Management.
Returning to Vienna for your final two years of study, you'll build on your management skills and the opportunity to apply all the knowledge and skills learned in New York with a 900-hour internship, as well as your Bachelor's thesis and completion of final program modules.

Topics include public, private and third sector implications; policy and governance issues; problems of the environment and its sustainable management, economic development, etc.
Our students gain confidence through lively classroom debates and simulations to connect theory with practice.
MSc in International Tourism Management
Be ready for the global travel industry. The Master's program in International Tourism Management (ITM) prepares students to meet the future needs of the global industry. The only master's program in Austria to receive the TedQual certificate from the UN World Tourism Organization. The program focuses on leadership and management of companies related to hospitality, tourism marketing, etc.
The program offers students the flexibility to gain a deeper insight into areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership, digital marketing, real estate management, and more. In addition, students can take advantage of the opportunity for a customized internship during their studies.
Master in Business Administration
The MBA is a program designed specifically for industry professionals who want to advance their careers. The program is taught for two to four days on campus once a month.
The program concentrates on strategic analysis and planning, value-based management and critical thinking. Students will advance their knowledge in core business disciplines including human resource management, organizational behavior, accounting and finance, marketing and operations, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Fees and scholarships for Modul University Vienna students
Upon full payment of the tuition fee, the university gives up to a 7% discount. When paying the tuition fee for one academic year, the university gives up to 5% discount.
When paying the tuition fee for one semester, the university gives up to 2% discount. If you completed an undergraduate degree at MU and choose to continue your studies at MU, you are eligible for a graduate scholarship based on your grade point average (GPA).
- GPA>95%: 40% of tuition
- GPA>90%: 35% of tuition
- GPA>85%: 30% of tuition
- GPA>80%: 25% of tuition
- GPA>70%: 15% of tuition
- GPA<70%: 10% of tuition
Accommodation at Modul University Vienna
MU students live in both private and individual housing. Like most other Austrian universities, MU does not have its own student residences. Instead, Modul contracts with local private student accommodation providers.
For example, WIHAST is a student housing provider in Vienna with dormitories throughout the city. MU students are housed in the complex in the 20th arrondissement (closest to MU). There is a kitchen on each floor, laundry facilities, a gym and a common room for socializing in the building. The approximate price is €300/month (+ 2 months deposit), which includes all utilities (and cable TV), except for internet, which costs an additional €5/month. A one-year contract is signed, which can be canceled at any time with two months' written notice.
