Accommodation
Students can apply for on-campus accommodation, and the application must be made separately approximately two months before the start of the semester. Housing information can be found on the website. On-campus housing will not be guaranteed if students do not complete the housing application or housing payment by the deadline.
Buddy Program
Buddies are current Hanyang students who volunteer to support new students in their smooth settlement and adjustment to life and culture in Korea. They will interact with the new students, visit them throughout the semester and help them in various areas.
National Health Insurance The Korean government has made it mandatory for all long-term resident foreigners to be registered with the National Health Insurance (NHI) from March 2021. International students will be subject to registration after applying for a foreign registration card. The monthly NHI amount will be approximately KRW 72,000 (about BGN 100) from March 2023.
Note that individual health insurance is still required as an NHI registration card may not cover some unexpected matters relating to international students, e.g. such as hospitalization etc.
